The EARTHSHIP Build
We organised an eco-construction 3rd - 21st DECEMBER 2018. We have build an EARTHSHIP Inspired building that will be used as a classroom/diner room for the children. This self sufficient building is made with recycled materials and will have a kitchen, a showers. and two toilets.
Alongside our crew, students learned how to do tire walls, bottle walls, can and eco bricks walls, basic carpentry, water harvesting, simple roof structure, mixing concrete, using power tools and more!
We are still working on this building: We recently received an amazing donation from the German Charity called Human and Earth and so we are able to do the finishes, check out our latest pictures!
The Aircrete Building
From 08 December to 18 December 2017, we held our first initial 10 day building workshop on the site to make the first inhabitable structure. With the help of the famous Aircrete company DOMEGAIA, and 34 amazing students, we built an AIRCRETE DOME. This structure will be the housing for the staff, that will look after the children.

Acquired a truck and important tools that will help, such as generators, water tanks, etc.
Built a small structure with recycled materials to be used as storage.
Built an Aircrete Dome as first housing structure
Built a camping ground with a kitchen, two water cisterns and a basic solar system
